I have been working in the charity sector for the last 15 years, following the start of my career at BT and local media. I have always had a love for the performing arts, music and creating opportunities for people to access what is important for them. I have seen first hand the benefits that creative opportunities bring for young people and get frustrated by the increasing health, social and economic barriers that our communities face.
The Opportunity Stage is our opportunity to change this.

Having had first hand experience of these types of opportunities growing up, I understand and recognise the benefits that each of these bring. However, I know that not everyone is in a fortunate enough position to be able to access these opportunities. Having worked with young people since I was 18 I have a range of experience but also can see the gaps and challenges that today’s society is facing.
At The Opportunity Stage we want to create a safe space for all young people to thrive.

I’m thrilled to join The Opportunity Stage CIC as a Non-Executive Director. I serve on the Executive Board of the Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub, am part of the Creative Advisory Group for Norwich Theatre and act as the Young Sounds UK Connector for Norfolk and Suffolk.
I grew up in rural East Anglia, studied music at the University of York, and have sung and conducted at venues from Carnegie Hall and the BBC Proms to Buckingham Palace—and even a Samoan pig shed.
In music education, I’ve led projects for organisations including Arts Council England, the Department for Education, Britten Pears Arts, and Music for Youth.
